Visa-O1 opens at Brickell Featured

Published in New Business News    Written by
Visa-O1 debuted in Miami Beach two years ago. Chef Renato Viola and partner Umberto Mascagni truly loved pizza and had a simple goal: for the public to be able to taste true traditional Italian pizza. Now they are opening a 2nd location for their business and it's located at the former Miami Smokers Express pop-up space (1000 S. Miami Ave., Miami). Here is more information about Visa-O1 Brickell :   According to Urban Daddy : "Elbow room. Yep. It exists now. Instead of a mere 18 seats, the new location has a patio and a dining room. The latter is quite spacious, with shelves displaying Sinatra albums and moka pots. And as ever... The pizza is serious business. It employs flour imported from master pizzaiolo Renato Viola’s farm in Italy, of course. He’s also a world champion in acrobatic pizza, which basically results in a ridiculously light, thin, crispy pie that’s somehow chewy, too. Traditional is fine. But extraordinary is better. You can’t go wrong with a margherita or pepperoni pie. But we suggest venturing to the Special and Extraordinary sections of the menu. That’s where the Jacqueline with truffle oil and runny eggs lives. And the Star Luca filled…

Naturally, they’ve chosen our city to debut their fancy new Pan-Asian concept. Which is good news for you and the temaki aficionado you’ve made dinner plans with. Because they’ve got that. You’ll step into an airy space with reclaimed-barn-wood walls and steel beams. And yes, that’s a giant statue of a raccoon-dog hybrid presiding over the on-goings of the dining room. That’s a tanuki. Apparently it’s a talisman of good fortune. Listen... whatever works.…

Maybe sit a spell at the Cuban-tiled bar with a cold draft beer. Maybe kill some time at the pinball machine. But soon enough, it’ll be time for pies. All made with double-zero flour in a wood-burning Stefano Ferrara oven from Naples. Some are original to Brooklyn, like the hot-soppressata-topped Dellboy. But then you’ve got the Miami-only Jewbano with slow-roasted pulled pork, Canadian bacon, yellow mustard and dill pickles. And if the place looks familiar: it was the old China Palace. Look close enough and you’ll find that it’s still lingering around.…

The vision of Lincoln's Beard Brewing Co. starts and ends with the local community. In 2014, a group of local craft beer heads endeavored to bring more locally brewed craft beer to the woefully underserved neighborhoods across Miami. They actually first sought to open a craft beer bar that would only serve locally brewed craft beer. But they continued to develop more interesting and delicious home brews, and suddenly started winning multiple brewing competitions and awards.
